Hello Everyone,
I know it is long overdue, but I finally bring you my favorite books of 2018.
This year has been my lowest reading year since I have started my blog, I have been very busy reading for my Master’s course and I hardly had time to fit anything else. However on the second half of the year I read a lot more, and many of the books I read, I loved. An unconscious resolution I had for myself in 2018 was to be more strict with the star ratings. In other words, I wanted to give 5 stars to a book only under certain conditions, that is, the book had to reach to me at a deep level. That’s why I only have nine books to talk about today, and not all of them received 5 stars from me. I will link the reviews I have done for any of these as well, so you can go and check them out.
These are my favorite reads of 2018, and they are not in any particular order.
The Bands of Mourning (Mistborn Era 2, #3), by Brandon Sanderson
Red Sister (Book of the Ancestor #1), by Mark Lawrence
The Fate of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling #3), by Erika Johansen
Scythe and Thunderhead (Arc of a Scythe #1,2), by Neal Shusterman
A Natural History of Dragons (Memoirs of Lady Trent #1), by Marie Brennan
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle, by Stuart Turton
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Northern Lights and The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials #1,2), by Philip Pullman
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, by Gail Honeyman
These are my favorite books of 2018. For series and trilogies such as His Dark Materials, or Mistborn Era 2 I would like to do series reviews once the last books comes out or I am done reading the whole thing.
Let me know if you have read any of these and what you thought of them.
Until next time,
Keky
